Dr Samantha Le Sueur Practice Principal – BDS GDC 154703

Samantha was a student at Jersey College for Girls and graduated from Guy’s, Kings and St Thomas’ Dental institute in 2008. She has worked in both Private Practice and at the General Hospital in the Community Clinic. She has a keen interest in children’s dentistry, CEREC (CAD-CAM single visit crowns), Invisalign (invisible braces),. and is very good with nervous patients. She prides herself on tailoring her treatment and advice specially to the individual needs.

Samantha has got a special interest in Advance Facial Aesthetics and provides injectable treatments such as wrinkle relaxants.

Nadine Pichon Practice Manager GDC 126170

Nadine started in the dental profession in 1995 then qualified as a dental nurse in 1999 and has gained experience in all areas of private dentistry and hospital dentistry over the years.

As a practice manageress since 2002, she has always taken a keen interest in professional standards and the important regulations of dental practice including cross infection control.

Nadine ensures that the practice runs smoothly and patients interests are put first, many of whom she knows personally from her 11 years experience with Confidence Dental Care.

Mr Joe McGill Specialist Orthodontist – BDS, MSc (Rest Dent), FDS RCPS, MOrth RCS(Ed), MSc GDC 67728

Joe graduated in 1992 from the University of Glasgow and remained in the city for vocational training in general dentistry. A year of study and clinical training at Newcastle Dental School led to a Masters Degree in Restorative Dentistry in 1994. During a further two years on hospital rotation he was awarded a Fellowship in Dental Surgery from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow, gaining the certificate for best performance.

In 1996 Joseph was appointed specialist registrar in Orthodontics at Bristol Dental Hospital and Royal United Hospital, Bath and completed his Membership in Orthodontics from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 1999 and an MSc by Research from the University of Bristol in 2000. Joseph offers a full range of treatment options including fixed and removable braces. He may also suggest wires fixed to braces behind the teeth which are less visible such as with the Inman Aligner system.

Dr Andrew Holloway BDS GDC 252256

Dr Holloway graduated from Oxford in 2008 with a degree in chemistry. He then qualified in dentistry from Guy’s, King’s, and St Thomas’ Dental School in 2014. He worked in mixed practice in Knightsbridge, and privately in Harley Street until 2018, before leaving London for private practice on the South Coast. He now lives in Jersey with his better half, Katie.

Andrew enjoys all areas of dentistry with a special interest in  implants, orthodontics, and sedation (helping anxious patients overcome their fears).

By nature Andrew is a very positive and cheerful person. He is also a keen sportsman and enjoys a wide range of sports including cycling, climbing, and sailing.

Dr Thomas Bray BDS GDC 278471

Dr Thomas Bray BDS graduated from the University of Sheffield before entering into private practice. He has recently moved to Jersey with his wife and is looking forward to cultivating long term relationships with his patients and fellow team members.

Thomas’s flare for dentistry was exhibited when he won the National Future of Dentistry Award in 2018. Since then, Thomas has become a graduate of the Ash Parmar Academy, where he developed a keen interest in porcelain veneer smile makeovers and laser dentistry. Thomas plans to take postgraduate study in the field of digital dentistry and is committed to continual professional development.

In his spare time, Thomas enjoys sailing, exploring new restaurants, and playing chess.

Dr Polly Kent MChD/BChD BSc Leeds, MFDS RCPS (Glasg) GDC 277608

Polly graduated from the University of Leeds in 2018, gaining her degree with Distinction. She worked as a Dental Core Trainee in the department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Pinderfields hospital in 2019. As a Dental Core Trainee she gained skills in managing dental trauma, dental extractions, and treating medically complex patients. Polly passed the Membership of the Joint Dental Faculties exam with the Royal College of Surgeons Glasgow, in 2021. For the last few years Polly has worked in practice in Manchester. Since returning to General Dental Practice Polly has attended many additional courses to allow her patients the best possible care; these include composite bonding, tooth whitening and clear aligner treatments. Polly is committed to continual learning and plans to undertake a postgraduate course in all aspects of aesthetic and restorative dentistry in 2023 with the Aspire Dental Academy in London.

Polly enjoys providing a wide range of treatments, her goal is always to put patients at ease while in surgery. She is warm and approachable, and enjoys treating nervous patients.

In her spare time, she enjoys yoga, eating out and attending music events with friends. Polly has recently relocated to Jersey and can not wait to explore our beautiful island. She hopes to create long-lasting relationships with patients and new friends alike.

Scott Wetton BDS MFDS RCS(Edin) MFDS RCS(Eng) MSc Dip Imp Dent (UCL) GDC number 77107

Special Interest in Periodontal and Implant Dentistry

Scott visits us to treat those patients referred to him with moderate to advance periodontal disease, aesthetic concerns and implants.

Scott graduated from Bristol Dental Hospital in 1999; his past hospital position have included Senior House Officer post in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Restorative Dentistry and Oral Medicine. He has previously been a full time clinical lecturer and examiner in Restorative Dentistry at Bristol University and the School of Professionals Complementary to Dentistry. He continues to provide local postgraduate lectures to hygienists, therapists and dentists.

Scott completed a Masters (MSc) in Restorative Dentistry in 2006, from this his main area of special interest in periodontal (gum) disease developed and he now undertakes all forms of periodontal treatment including surgical, regenerative and non-surgical methods. He has been undertaking private referrals for periodontal treatment in the Southwest. To further expand and complete his periodontal service, he completed a three year Diploma in Implant Dentistry, attending a distinction, from the world renowned Eastman Dental Institute associated with University College London, enabling him to accept referrals for his treatment option.

He is married to Becky, who is a consultant head and neck radiologist. They have two children.

Dr Sharad Patel BChD, MFGDP, University of Leeds 1986 GDC 61801

Dr Sharad Patel qualified at The Leeds Dental Institute, gained his Master in Clinical Dentistry at the prestigious Kings Dental Institute in London. He has been specialising in Dental Implant and Cosmetic dentistry for more than 20 years, and has gained an international reputation for the elegance of his work. As well as being a consultant/associate at practices in Jersey, Dr Patel lectures internationally on dental implantology, and mentors referring dentists as they develop their careers. He helps dental practitioners expand their skills in dental implants and bone augmentation , enabling them to offer those services. He also consults at several practices in the UK, and is one of an elite group of dentists in the UK with membership of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and International Congress of Implantology.

Chloe Taylor Dental Hygienist – FDBSC GDC 253786

Chloe qualified from the University of Essex with a Distinction in Oral Health Science. Over the past two years Chloe has had the opportunity to work within a variety of different placements, within the private sector, NHS practices, dental hospitals and community dental clinics. Chloe is passionate about her role and firmly believes that prevention is better than cure. She prides herself on tailoring her treatment and advice specifically to the individuals needs.

Kirsten Brown Dental Hygienist RDH GDC 6216

Kirsten began her dental career as a dental nurse in Edinburgh in 1997. The natural progression was then to go on and take the Dental Hygiene course in Edinburgh dental institute which she then qualified in 2003.
Kirsten moved to Jersey shortly after qualifying and has enjoyed living and working in various dental practices for the past 10 years. Kirsten finds the most satisfying part of the job is treating nervous patients and making them feel at ease.

Renate Cusumano Ortho Therapist & Hygienist BSc (Hons) DipDH DipDT DipOT RCS (Eng) GDC number: 245290

Renate qualified as a dental hygienist and therapist from King’s College London in 2013 and has a previous degree in Biomedical Materials Science & Engineering from Queen Mary University. In 2018 she also qualified as an Orthodontic Therapist from Bristol University. Her most recent qualification in 2020 is an advanced masterclass in Facial Aesthetics, allowing her to provide an extensive range of dermal fillers and anti-wrinkle treatments.

Renate has experience working with both adults and children, and is especially good at helping nervous patients feel at ease with her informal and friendly manner. She has an amazing ability to identify individual patient needs and provide a customised course of treatment for each patient. She is very passionate about her work and is often praised on her perfectionism.

Renate regularly attends training courses to stay up to date with the latest techniques in her field. In her spare time she loves being a new mum, travelling, long walks with her dog and a bit of poker. Renate also speaks fluent Arabic.

Louise graduated as an orthodontic therapist at Bristol dental school with the royal college of surgeons Edinburgh in 2018

Following a career in dentistry for more than 20 years,

Louise’s passion is straightening of teeth and loves the finished outcomes. Working within NHS and private sectors she has specialised in Paediatric, phobic and hospital nursing roles.

Ema Araujo BSc Dental Hygiene and Dental Therapy Cardiff University 2023 GDC 310410

Ema was born in Jersey and left the island to qualify as a Dental Therapist. She graduated from Cardiff University in 2023 with a first class honours, and then set off to refine her skills by undergoing the Welsh Dental Foundation Training Programme. Alongside the programme, she has been working in various practices around Wales in both NHS and the private sector.

Ema is very positive and friendly, priding herself in easing any anxiety surrounding dental visits. She enjoys working with both children and adults alike, helping to prevent and manage tooth decay and gum disease. 

Ema is excited to return back to the island and be reunited with her 3 chihuahuas! Outside of work she enjoys reading, Pilates, going to music events and eating out.  Ema also speaks fluent Portuguese.

Helen has more than 12 years experience in audiology as well as many more years in General Nursing. Since 2012 Helen has worked as a Hearing Aid Dispenser for a major Hearing aid Company. Helen’s philosophy is to provide people with the best hearing aid technology on the market at a price they can afford.

As part of the Confidence team, she can offer this at a fraction of the cost of her competitors with FREE hearing test.
